Keeping You House Clean During Make Over Your Home
Like many people for me and I’m sure not the last, I have carpet on my stairs and landing replaced, my wife and I decided we had to replace the bathroom. This left me with the dilemma of what to do, should I remove the carpet, while the bathroom is transformed into or should I just try to contain the dirt in the bathroom? After looking at the cost of how much it is temporarily removed the carpet and then replaced when we finished, we decided that we would try to prevent dust and dirt to a minimum.
I looked at many different products from many vendors and decided plastic sheeting for carpets in the hallway, stairs and landing and a door lock plastic plate to the bathroom to stop the dust throughout the house to arrive.
Although there are a number of standard film to protect the carpet was sticky choices we make and stick to the carpet, we opted for the choice of adhesive is mainly due to the stairs, because we want our own children or tripped, or lining and move dirt on the carpet.
The door of plastic sheeting was a great idea, my wife, that worked very well and stopped the dust of travel throughout the house. Attached to the outside of the frame and allowed me to contain the dust to keep only the bathroom. For those of you who have Plastering done before, then you know that the plaster dust is everywhere and seems to impregnate soft furnishings with a film of dust. While work has been carried out, we had no additional cleaning. I can honestly say that this type of product is worth every penny, saying it only costs about 20 pounds. A clear future projects!
After finishing the bathroom, the film was easily removed from carpets and door frame, which is nice left no residue. Just vacuum the carpet and I can gladly say that we succeeded in our bathroom and the carpet looked new.
We are not looking all areas of our house to renovate in the near future, but if we do I will definitely use these protective materials again, only saves so much time cleaning, not to mention the cost of replacing the carpet.
