Why purified drinking water is so important?

Water treatment is something that is done worldwide so that it can be consumed by human beings and used in productive activities. However, do you know what the proper treatment is? Drinking water is a vital resource for human consumption and only 0.02% is drinkable, this percentage is reduced year after year due to the high level of contamination that exists. Purified water has almost unnoticeable impurities. It goes through several treatment and filtration process.
In some cases, purified water may still have some traces of contaminants. In this case, we recommend using water softener. Any chemicals, substances, or pathogens that may be present in the water are completely removed. The water that is finally obtained from this process is the cleanest that can be obtained.
What is a water softener?
The softeners work through ion exchange resins, of the cationic type, which replace the calcium and magnesium in the water with sodium. For this, the resins require regeneration with salt, in order to recover their exchange capacity. Softeners remove hardness from water, that is, they remove calcium and magnesium ions from its chemical composition. Hardness, especially in industrial processes where water is subjected to temperature changes, produces scale known as scale. This reduces the water passage section and is a thermal insulator, which fundamentally impairs heat exchange.
How do softeners work?
All water softeners use the same operating principle. They replace minerals with others, usually sodium. The principle is called ion exchange. The softening is done by resins. These resins are made up of small plastic spheres, which contain, in their structure, active centers saturated with sodium. When water encounters it, calcium and magnesium ions are exchanged for sodium in equal amounts. In this way, the salts that remain in the water do not form deposits, even when it is heated to both moderate and high temperatures. Water softeners consist of two tanks, a larger one, to which salt granules are added, and a smaller one, with the ion exchange resin, through which the “hard” water passes. A control valve fixed above the resin tank causes the system to recharge based on a preset time.
Purified water benefits
Drinking purified water is good for your health. The first health benefit you get from drinking purified water is to stay hydrated. Purified water not only contributes to your well-being, but also makes you look and feel good. Drinking purified water is also good for your bones and hair. Staying hydrated not only helps improve your metabolism, it is an excellent ally for your skin, and drinking water prevents hair loss. To keep you strong and flexible, your joints also need moisture.
Drinking purified water is a great way to ensure you stay hydrated throughout the day and strengthen your joints. You have much more energy, it helps to lose weight, reduce headaches and dizziness, improves digestion, and facilitates the elimination of toxins from the body. When water tastes good, it naturally makes you want to drink more. Drinking an average of 8 to 10 glasses of water daily is essential to stay hydrated and avoid various health problems.
